Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable poly-L-lactic acid filler used to treat nasolabial folds and facial wrinkles. It is administered via a crosshatch injection technique. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra Aesthetic stimulates the skin to produce its own collagen and restore the facial volume that has been lost to aging. Patients start seeing results gradually over the treatment regime (usually over the course of three to four months), with results lasting up to two years.
