If you have always wanted to achieve smoother skin, eliminate the appearance of wrinkles, or simply feel overall more confident in how your skin looks, you’re in luck. At Cosmetic and Reconstructive Specialists of Florida, we are proud to offer our patients a brand new, non-invasive way to achieve high-quality skin resurfacing with little to no downtime.

Board-certified and highly experienced in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Christopher J. Low and Dr. Michael C. Cheung are offering patients the opportunity to achieve healthier-looking, more radiant skin using customized treatments from the Sciton JOULE®.

What is the Sciton JOULE?

Simple yet highly effective, the Sciton Joule is an extremely advanced laser and light platform that allows cosmetic surgeons to provide precise, high-quality treatment to patients looking to improve their skin. By emulating an Erbium and CO2 laser, targetting specific areas of the skin has never been easier, more painless, or more precise.

What Can The Sciton JOULE Treat?

Through the use of laser and light technology, the Sciton JOULE can treat the following:

  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damage
  • Pigmentation
  • Age spots
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Uneven texture
  • Spider veins

The Sciton JOULE can also provide the following treatments:

  • BroadBand Light therapy
  • Laser Hair Removal
  • Chemical Peels
  • Skin tightening

Who Is A Good Candidate for Laser and Light Treatment?

Treatment from the Sciton JOULE will benefit patients who are interested in eliminating the appearance of facial imperfections such as wrinkles, scarring, or uneven texture from their face. Patients who can keep a realistic mindset regarding their results will benefit the most from their procedure.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend waiting at least six months after giving birth or from your last breastfeeding before beginning any laser or light skin treatments. If you have active acne, are taking Accutane, or have active skin infections, this treatment is not recommended for you.

Is the Sciton JOULE Painful?

The treatments from Sciton JOULE are typically not overtly painful for most patients. During laser and light treatments, patients may experience slight stinging or burning only for the moments when laser or light touches the skin. After treatment is over, these sensations will no longer occur.

Are There Any Side Effects from Laser and Light Treatment?

Although laser and light treatments are fairly common and safe, there are a few side effects patients may experience following their treatment. These include stinging, redness, soreness, itchiness, patchiness, and inflammation. Within a few days to a week after your treatment, most patients see these side effects subside.

What Are The Benefits of Laser Treatments Using Sciton JOULE?

The Sciton JOULE provides accurate, high-quality treatment that your doctors can customize according to each patient’s needs and goals. It is also programmed to penetrate the skin at specific depths by the micron, making each movement precise, gentler, and less painful than most other laser and light platforms.

Undergoing laser and light treatment is also a low-maintenance commitment with high-quality results, leaving patients free of the hassle of maintaining the skin on their own and replacing it with newly rejuvenated, radiant skin.
